202202.2: New paradox

a five days coast to coast poetry festival

I think you’re beautiful
The more I talk to you
I think you’re irrefutable
The more I listen to you

I’m wide awake at 10
Yet I sleep through

I hate your lies
The way you sway the masses
How dare you smile
As disease and pestilence rages

I’m surrounded by all men
The stench of wine brews

How can you be God?
If the devil is our lord?
